Your Mission - 11 April Sprint in Portlaoise

Hi guys and Happy New Year!

Just to let you know that the Portlaoise Try-athlon opens for business today. Entry is available to Juniors for €20.00 (discounted by €15.00). The event takes place in Portlaoise Pool, and is the standard distance for Youth competition (Sprint - 750m Swim, 20km Cycle and 5km Run). The day itself will be a great experience, with post-race activities, a real race atmosphere and everything just 15 mins from your door. See more at http://www.trilaois.ie

Best of all Trilogy Youths are welcome to enter the race without needing to nominate a marshal (though if you can, thats great too.)

Training for 20th Dec

Hi guys, this will be the last training session before Christmas. I'll be in the north pole searching for santa so I wont be able to make it. A nice long slow endurance run will be nice before the Christmas break. Try for an even paced 40 - 50min run. See you all after the holidays, Sinead.

Training 13th Dec

Hi guys. Again I unfortunately won't be around this Saturday. I won't be getting home from work until 10:30am. What I had planned for you this week was interval hill running. Jog up to Carrick wood and turn right into the wood. You all know the long hill? Run up this hill at a good pace and time yourselves. Walk back down and run up again, trying to keep within the same time limit. Do this 5 times. Enjoy training and I'll see you soon.

Training for Saturday 6th Dec

Hi everyone. I have a wedding on this weekend so I wont be able to make the training session. After swimming, take on a nice 2 laps of Carrick wood. Go easy for the first lap and push it out for the second. You can have a nice recovery jog then, back to the pool. Enjoy,
